February 2015 Wrap-Up

Another month has come and gone, so of course that means I get to share with you all what books I've read. This month has had some really good books come out, for example, Where the Road Takes Me by Jay McLean and Thoughtful by S.C. Stephens. (Man oh man, being inside of Kellan Kyle's head. De-lightful!!). I've also got my Christina Lauren fix and I have had the chance to read some great review copies (marked with an '*') of books as well. (Thank you NetGalley!) Let's hop right in...

- Beautiful Beloved by Christina Lauren. I love me some Max Stella, let me tell you. By the sounds of it, I'm also going to really love his little brother, Niall, just as much! This was just a short novella that gave us a peek inside of Max and Sara's life with baby Annabel and how they're juggling their very interesting *cough* *cough* love life while also trying to to take care for their new baby girl, Anna. It's was a great read and it scratched the C-Lo itch I've had since finishing Dirty Rowdy Thing. Now I just have to wait until April...sigh.

- *Gone Too Far by Natalie D. Richards. I did a review of this book, so if you want to read about exactly how amazing this book is then click here! GREAT READ!!! 5 STARS!

- *Thoughtful by S.C. Stephens. Another book that I got for review. My review is up and let me tell you. Being in Kellan Kyle's head was something else. Click here to hear the rest of my thoughts! Oh and check out the new cover for Untamed, Griffin's book coming soon!

#1 New York Times bestselling author S.C. Stephens brings us the next book in her Thoughtless series!

Griffin Hancock is tired of being stuck behind Kellan Kyle's spotlight. He's the best, the main event, and everyone should know it. He has Anna, and his beautiful daughter Gibson, to hell with the rest of them. A new venture presents itself, and Griffin decides this is his chance. When he tells the band about his new side gig, they tell him it's a terrible idea, so Griffin breaks ties with the band. Anna tries to be supportive of Griffin, but soon she's done, too. Realizing all he's lost, Griffin looks to find a way back to the life he threw away... but can he convince Anna that he's a changed
man?

- *Love Bites by Rachel K. Burke. I also have a review for this book too. Click here! Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it all of you! It was the first Rachel K. Burke book that I've read and I really enjoyed her writing style and the way she set the story up made it fun to read and kept me on my toes.

- Unethical by Jennifer Blackwood. I picked this book up on a whim and really enjoyed it! It was a cookie cutter storyline with a slight twist. I loved the writing and like Love Bites, it was the first book by this author that I've read. I'll definitely be picking up the second book in the series ASAP!
PS: This book is FREE!!!!

Love burns hotter the second time around…

Two years ago, the medical world was shaken by scandal, and Payton Daniels's family was at the center of it. The second she graduated, Payton left everything behind―her high school sweetheart, her family, and the controversy surrounding her mother's death—and hid within the anonymity of college. But Payton’s ex, Blake Hiller, hasn't forgiven her for leaving, and when he enrolls in the same medical ethics class, she panics. She can’t run the risk of him telling everyone who she really is.

As if being at the same university isn’t enough, both Blake and Payton land the same internship. Forced together, their passion for each other reignites, but when Payton is asked to testify in her father’s high-profile trial, she must choose between risking her acceptance into medical school to help her father, and losing every connection to her past—including the only guy she’s ever loved.

- The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks. I LOVED THIS BOOK!! I cannot describe to you just how much because it was that amazing. It was the first Sparks book that I've read and I don't know why I waited so long! I've since picked up A Bend in the Road, and hope to read it next month. I also am super excited about the movie that comes out in April and will definitely do a movie review on that once I see it!! :)

- Kaleidoscope Hearts by Claire Contreras. I again picked this book up on a whim because of all the good things I've been hearing about it. It really is an amazing book. I loved the characters and thought the story was very interesting and it kept me enthralled until about 70% of the way through. Then I got some books that I had been waiting for and bought a new one, Thoughtful and The Longest Ride, and I for some reason put it on the back burner. Once I picked it back up, I became just as enthralled and really loved the ending!

- Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler. I thought that this book was so cute! It followed Hudson Avery, as she learned how to balance the stress of being a teenage girl with a struggling single parent, whose business is failing, and also helping the school hockey team so she can have ice time to fulfill her dream of being an ice skater. Not to mention the big scholarship she got if she won, oh and she;s a cupcake baker (a pretty good one, too) . Also, she has to keep this a secret from her mom. I loved this story. It did take me awhile to finish it, but I think it was definitely something that I had to be in the mood for. It's a sassy contemporary and I loved it to pieces. I'll have a full review up soon! So, stay tuned!

- *Boy Toy Chronicles Vol. I by Jay McLean. I won an ARC of this during a giveaway and was super excited when it showed up on my Kindle! I loved this book, so hard and will have an official review up in the next few days when the book is released. BTW: That's March 3rd! I know, it's so soon!!! More JayMac? Hell. Yes.

Warning: This book contains mildly inappropriate everything.

"So…I came up with a plan.
I sat the brothers down and gave them my speech; we’d become male escorts.
The house was split.
The single dudes thought it was great. The guys with the steady girlfriends told the single dudes they were insane.
I promised them all we could make it work without hurting anybody. But we had to be smart about it. We had to keep it off campus. We had to keep it a secret. And in order to do so, we had to target those who wanted it kept a secret as much as we did.
Our target: Filthy rich, unsatisfied, horny housewives.
Keep it high class, so to speak.
And thus began BTC, or Boy Toy Corporation.
Crazy, right?
Crazy genius."
-Tyler West.

- Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven. This was a random book that I found at the bookstore and read the back and had to have. It sounded so good and interesting. I hadn't heard much about the author, but let me tell you. Everyone should know who this author is! She has such a witty writing style that made me laugh out loud and have to reread something just to make sure that I read it right. For example:
There were many more times throughout this book that I laughed out loud, but that was by far the funniest moment. I will have a review up soon because this book has so much more I want to talk about. Needless, to say I'm excited for book two, Broken Juliet. Which comes out on April 28th, 2015. The book does leave off on a cliffhanger, so be forewarned!

Next month there are some books that I will definitely be reading. Confess by Colleen Hoover releases on the tenth, which is like two weeks away, and I have a review book that I need to finish, called Blushing by Katie Delahanty. I would also really like to read After Ever Happy by Anna Todd. This is the final book in the After Series and I really want to know how it's going to end! Other than that, I don't have anything planned. I'm currently reading Bait by M. Mabie and Some Kind of Normal by Juliana Stone. I'm just going slow with these ones mainly because Bait is really good and I want to savor it and Some Kind of Normal doesn't release until May and when I write my review I want it to be fresh in my mind. :)

That's all I read during the month of February, thanks for stopping by and I hope to see
you back soon! If you have any recommendations for books, then feel free to leave them

I would love to interact with all of you! :)
