Book Review: This Girl (Slammed #3) by Colleen Hoover

The final installment to a heartbreakingly beautiful and hold on tight rollercoaster of a series! This Girl is everything I wanted for Will and Lake!!

There are two sides to every love story. Now hear Will’s.

Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling Slammed series has brought countless readers to their knees with a whirlwind of love, passion, and heartache.

Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. As much as Layken relishes their new life together, she finds herself wanting to know everything there is to know about her husband, even though Will makes it clear he prefers to keep the painful memories of the past where they belong. Still, he can’t resist his wife’s pleas and so he begins to untangle his side of the story, revealing for the first time his most intimate feelings and thoughts, retelling both the good and bad moments, and sharing a few shocking confessions of his own from the time when they first met.

In This Girl, Will tells the story of their complicated relationship from his point of view. Their future rests on how well they deal with the past in this final installment of the beloved Slammed series.

**There will be spoilers for books one and two, so beware!!**

While reading the Slammed Trilogy, I constantly felt like there was no way it was ever going to get better. There was no way she could make me love the next book more than I loved the previous one. I was wrong. It is possible. It is so perfectly possible that she's done it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! This isn't just with this Trilogy it's with every single book she's ever written. They keep getting better. But, this statement is especially true for This Girl. While reading it was like getting two new books in one. We got to hear the whole book from Will's POV, which I just absolutely loved. I loved it in Point of Retreat, and I loved it even more in This Girl. You're probably thinking, "Emma, why?" Well, to answer your question it's because we got to not only hear about Will and Lake's honeymoon, but we also got to read all the important parts of Slammed, through Will's eyes. It was amazing. Unbelievable, and every other synonym that means the same thing!

I think the absolute best part of this book was that we get to experience old and NEW slams! We get to have our hearts broke and built back up again throughout the two hundred and eighty-five pages. Colleen takes us on yet another rollercoaster ride of emotions and feels!! This was a perfect conclusion to an already butterflying perfect series!
