(Quick) Book Review: All Played Out (Rusk University #3) by Cora Carmack

First person in her family to go to college? CHECK.Straight A’s? CHECK.
On track to graduate early? CHECK.
Social life? …..yeah, about that….

With just a few weeks until she graduates, Antonella DeLuca’s beginning to worry that maybe she hasn’t had the full college experience. (Okay... Scratch that. She knows she hasn't had the full college experience).

So Nell does what a smart, dedicated girl like herself does best. She makes a "to do" list of normal college activities.

Item #1? Hook up with a jock.

Rusk University wide receiver Mateo Torres practically wrote the playbook for normal college living. When he’s not on the field, he excels at partying, girls, and more partying. As long as he keeps things light and easy, it's impossible to get hurt... again. But something about the quiet, shy, sexy-as-hell Nell gets under his skin, and when he learns about her list, he makes it his mission to help her complete it.

Torres is the definition of confident (And sexy. And wild), and he opens up a side of Nell that she's never known. But as they begin to check off each crazy, exciting, normal item, Nell finds that her frivolous list leads to something more serious than she bargained for. And while Torres is used to taking risks on the field, he has to decide if he's willing to take the chance when it's more than just a game.

Together they will have to decide if what they have is just part of the experiment or a chance at something real.

I thought that All Played Out was a funny, sweet, amazing installment to The Rusk University Series. This is the fifth Cora Carmack book that I've read and I've got to say she just keeps getting better. I will admit I didn't love the first book in this series, All Lined Up, but I've found that each book brings something new to the table. It may be the same boy meets girl scenario, but Cora shapes each of these stories into something completely different and refreshing. I will totally be continuing on with the series and I'm very excited to see where it goes from here!

I have been waiting to read about Mateo Torres since book one! He's been my favorite from the beginning. I love that he's kind of a party animal/clown with his friends, but he's also this sweet guy with Nell. He was exactly what the shy bookworm needed. Nell has been all about school her whole life. However, when she realizes that college is almost over and she hasn't experienced, well anything, she decides to make a list of things she thinks every college student experiences. Of course, she meets wild and crazy Torres, who makes it his mission to help her cross off the items from her ever growing list. Shenanigans ensue, but Mateo has to decide if he wants to help Nell experience college, or if he just wants her. Forever. Read All Played Out to learn about the love story of Nell & Mateo!! It's a definite must read!!
