Book Review: Maybe Not by Colleen Hoover

Colleen Hoover, the New York Times bestselling author of Maybe Someday brilliantly brings to life the story of the wonderfully hilarious and charismatic Warren in a new novella, Maybe Not.

When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.

Or maybe not.

Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.

Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?

Maybe not.

This was a surprise release from Colleen Hoover. I'll tell you what though, it was no surprise on how amazing this book was. I loved Warren in Maybe Someday, but I loved him even more in Maybe Not. I would have loved a full length novel, but I don't feel like this book lacked because it was a novella. Just like with Finding Cinderella, Maybe Not, was such a fulfilling story even though it was only 129 pages long. Colleen Hoover is just as good at giving us the feel of a full story in a short number of pages as she is in a full length book.

The story starts off with Warren waking up in his room and rubbing pepper juice on his eyes because Ridge (so glad he was in this book by the way!) pranked him. I loved their pranks in Maybe Someday, which I totally forgot to mention in my review. Warren runs into the bathroom and is met by a disgruntled female on the toilet. She's disgruntled because Warren walked in on her. She's there because she's the boys' new roommate. This is much to Warren's dismay because...
So, as you can see he wasn't too happy about the new living arrangements. Of course, he doesn't mind too much because he finds Bridgette very attractive and he just can't seem to stop thinking about her. He also finds out that Bridgette has been in a tough spot recently. He isn't sure exactly what's wrong with her, but he still decides that maybe everything could work out. Then, of course, Bridgette does things like this

Shenanigans and cuteness and awe-worthy moments ensue. Maybe Not is by far one of my favorite CoHo books that I feel like not a lot of people talk about. After doing my review, I think it's definitely time for a reread soon. The best part, you can actually preorder the paperback version on book retailers right now!! It's slated for a December 2015 release, but if your desperate you can always download the ebook first! This is definitely one of my favorite CoHo books. I mean I guess they're all my favorites, but you get the point. IT'S GOOD, better than good actually. It's pretty amazeballs.
